Redeeming the Dream of Dr. King: MLK Parade. March. Rally 2019

Come out and celebrate our Drum Major for Justice, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr at the 34th Annual Greater Fort Worth MLK Jr. Holiday Committee’s March. Parade. Rally as we “Redeem the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King!”

This years parade will start at the corner of 9th and Commerce St at 11am and will end in Sundance Pavilion 102 East 3rd St. We will have Fort Worth ISD JROTC, Bands from Fort Worth ISD, Everman ISD, and DeSoto ISD. This years parade Marshall will be the Honorable Commissioner Roy Charles Brooks.

There will be a special presentation and unveiling of the Historic Heritage Trail Marker for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in General Worth Square at 9am on Main St and 9th St. We are proud to partner with the City of Fort Worth and the MLK on Main St. Project.

If you want to register to participate in the parade please contact Roderick Miles, at to request a parade registration form. The deadline for pre-registration is January 10th, 2019. There will be onsite registration available the day of the parade at 9am on the corner of 12th St and Commerce on the east side of the convention center. Pre- registration fee is $20, onsite registration fee is $25.

The parade line up will start at 10am. The parade will begin promptly at 11am. The Rally will proceed the parade and start at 12pm in Sundance Pavillon. We will have a band exhibition featuring local bands from the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex. Also there will be an exciting special presentation during the rally that you don’t want to miss! Come out and help us celebrate as we redeem the Dream of Dr. King!
